July -
and hardly a day passes without some rain: sometimes, heavy and relentless, sometimes passing summer showers and sometimes the sky cracks open and shafts of brightness reach playfully through the clouds.
I bring in flowers from the garden, even though they quickly wilt. Now, the house is perfumed with the heavy scent of Jasmine
Hello Anna: The rain is certainly making your garden incredibly green and whilst some rain through the summer is so very useful, heavy downpours can be so damaging. Your grey painted containers look good against the flowering plants, such a stylish colour to use both outdoors and inside.
It has certainly been raining on my garden today, very heavily at times and accompanied by rumbles of thunder! Our gardens certainly need the rain after such a dry weekend. Lovely photos - the Jasmine is so pretty:)
What a lovely vase of flowers! Do I spy mock orange blossom? I love that and would so love to have it in my garden, but it's not really big enough! Enjoy the sunshine and the rain... x
Hello Anna, It sounds like your weather is just the same as ours at the moment, after a beautiful weekend we are back to typical Lake District weather, showers and sun. I always love all your images but my favourite today is the one with the pretty garden planters. Hope you enjoyed those cup cakes!
Hi Anna, shame about the rain, we are getting our fair share of it too now! Your grey planters are lovely and the little cover for the cupcakes looks like it was made by a fairy! Love Linda x
